The Ibsen Museum's main attraction is Henrik Ibsen's home in Oslo. Here he lived the last 11 years of his life and wrote his last two plays. The apartment is now restored to its original splendour with authentic interior and Ibsen's furniture. The museum's visitor center features an exhibit on Ibsen's life and writing.

The Ibsen Museum is located in Henrik Ibsen's gate 26 in Oslo, next to the Royal Castle. It is run by Norsk Folkemuseum.

Ibsen’s last words "On the contrary" inspired the title of this exhibit featuring his life and work. Here, his life, writings and the society in which he lived intersects. The exhibit also poses questions for the viewer to reflect on. Ibsen had great impact on contemporary issues and current affairs, and his themes are still relevant today.
